The Tallahassee Council of Advanced Practice Nurses (CAPN) is pleased to announce and congratulate our newly elected officers for the 2026–2028 leadership term. We are excited to welcome two outstanding nurse practitioners whose experience, dedication, and service will help guide CAPN into the future.

Ralph Crowther, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
President-Elect (2026–2028)

Ralph Crowther has been elected as CAPN’s President-Elect and brings decades of diverse nursing and advanced practice experience to this role. Dr. Crowther has proudly called Tallahassee home since 1996 and began his healthcare career as a registered nurse at Tallahassee Community Hospital (now HCA Capital) and Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, later working across multiple healthcare settings. His professional background includes more than five years in correctional medicine, providing care to complex and underserved patient populations.

Dr. Crowther earned his BSN in 2016, MSN-FNP in 2018, a post-master’s certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in 2023, and most recently completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Practice Leadership in December 2024. He currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty member with Herzing University’s Online Nursing Division and has been a dedicated CAPN member for nearly 10 years. His long-standing commitment to professional advocacy, leadership development, and organizational growth will be instrumental as CAPN continues to advance its mission and influence in the Tallahassee community.

Jenny Lee Stark, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Treasurer (2026–2028)

Jenny Lee Stark has been elected to serve as CAPN Treasurer for the 2026–2028 term. A Midwest native, Jenny relocated to Florida in 2010 as an emergency room travel nurse and has been an integral part of the Tallahassee community since 2013. She earned her ASN in 2006, BSN in 2010, and MSN/FNP in 2020, and is currently enrolled at Florida State University pursuing a Juris Master Certificate, with plans to pursue a doctoral degree in the future.

Jenny brings both clinical expertise and organizational experience to the Treasurer role, having previously served as a CAPN Board member. Her commitment to fiscal stewardship, service, and professional engagement reflects her strong belief in supporting advanced practice nurses and strengthening the organization for future generations.

The Tallahassee Council of Advanced Practice Nurses congratulates Ralph and Jenny on their election and looks forward to their leadership, collaboration, and vision as they serve our members and continue to advance advanced practice nursing in our community.
