Congratulations to Our 2025 CAPN Scholarship Recipients!

The Tallahassee Council of Advanced Practice Nurses is proud to recognize and congratulate our 2025 CAPN Scholarship recipients, each awarded a $500 scholarship in support of their continued commitment to advanced practice nursing, leadership, and service.

Rebekah Slack, DNP(c), BSN, RN
Rebekah is a second-year Family Nurse Practitioner–Doctor of Nursing Practice (FNP-DNP) student at Florida State University. She has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and a strong dedication to improving patient care through advanced practice nursing. Rebekah’s passion for leadership, advocacy, and professional growth reflects CAPN’s mission to support the development of future nurse practitioner leaders. We are honored to support her as she continues her doctoral journey and prepares for a career making meaningful impacts in healthcare.

Stephanie DeRouin, DNP(c), APRN
Stephanie is a nurse practitioner practicing locally in Tallahassee and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus in Lifestyle Medicine. She is on track to graduate in August 2026. As an experienced NP, Stephanie exemplifies a commitment to patient-centered, preventive, and holistic care through evidence-based lifestyle interventions. Her work reflects the evolving role of advanced practice nurses in addressing chronic disease, wellness, and long-term health outcomes in our community.
