Important: Legislative Update: HB 883 Scheduled for Hearing!

Great news for Florida’s healthcare community! HB 883, sponsored by Representative Jason Shoaf, was officially added to the Health Professions & Programs Subcommittee agenda on March 13 at 1pm  

This bill is a crucial step toward expanding autonomous practice for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs), ensuring better access to mental health care for Floridians—especially in underserved areas.

We’re proud to share that Cindy Parsons, Tom Schlepko, Jerri Edwards, and Monica Barfield from the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network  have been invited to testify on behalf of PMHNPs. Their voices will be instrumental in advocating for this much-needed legislation.
