Hi all,
Hope you are doing well as we continue to navigate these unprecedented times. I wanted to send a few updates regarding the organization.
- With educational programs being offered virtually, there are a plethora of events that we (as the local NP organization) are asked to distribute. You should have received 3 emails this morning for events occuring in the next several weeks. Lots of good educational programs to choose from!
- AJOVY for migraine prevention - Sept 17th at 6pm, our monthly meeting rescheduled form April
- Oxbryta for sickle cell disease treatment - Sept 24th at 6pm, a special virtual presentation for those who manage sickle cell patients, speaker is a NP from the University of South Alabama Sickle Cell Center
- Pediatric ENT Guidelines - Sept 17th at 6pm (same time as our monthly meeting) - Wolfson Children's Hospital program
- I have heard from some of you regarding resuming our our face-to-face programs with dinner provided (with socially distanced measures in place and Zoom remaining available). Thus far, the sponsors are unable to provide face-to-face events. The sponsor for October is working on making this happen. We would like to offer this option for those comfortable in attending, hopefully soon.
- Nominations for 2021 Board positions will be coming out soon. A President Elect and Secretary are sought for a 2 year term starting in January 2021. Please think of who is an ideal candidate for these positions.
- Florida Nurse Practitioner Network's (FNPN) latest newsletter is attached, learn about activities occuring throughout the state.
- AANP is offering an online conference experience. It is available from Sept 10 to Dec 31. For more inforamtion and registration details, please go to the website available HERE
Thank you for continuing to care for our patients in all settings. "See you" soon virtually!
