Calling all Advanced Practice Nurses! HB 607/ Advanced practice nurses – autonomous practice bill

1. Social media videotaping about the importance of HP 607.
Recruiting all available advanced practice nurses to videotape a short session about why this legislation is important and necessary. The question to think about is as follows:

“ Why is important for you that HP 607 passes?” They are aiming for authentic, passionate responses to piece together into a persuasive and compelling short video. Should focus on how this would impact patients.It should be no longer than 10 minutes max.

Aiming to get these done over the next week starting now through December 20. If you are able and willing please contact Skylar Swanson at 850–717–5788 or skylarswanson@myfloridahouse.gov

One option that would be possible – would be a personal video on your phone taped and emailed to them. Please make arrangements with them directly.

2. Whitecoat presence during a session:
Please plan on volunteering to go to the capital to keep our presence alive by wearing your white coat and being recognized as an advanced practice nurse. Stay tuned for more information. This will be a collaboration among various advanced practice groups.
