Allison Carvajal, our lobbyist has a request for APRN presence this Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 8:30 a.m., HB 607 (Autonomous Practice Bil) will be heard by the Health & Human Service committee in Webster Hall (212 Knott) at the Florida Capitol. Wear your WHITE COAT!

Additionally, after this meeting around  11 a.m., the Majority Office is inviting nurse practitioners to come by the video production suite, in 322, to film a short statement about HB 607. It should be quick and easy – a member of our communication team will stand off-camera and ask the nurse practitioner a few questions – “Why are you here in the Capitol today” and “Why is it important to you that HB 607 passes?” as a starting point. We’re aiming for authentic, passionate responses to piece together into a persuasive and compelling short video.  It shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. Real NPs and how the barriers impact their patients. What passage of 607 will they do for their patients?  Always bring it back to the patient.  This isn’t about us as NPs but it is all about our patients.
