AANP Membership Announcement

1. DO YOU WANT TO WIN A FREE AANP MEMBERSHIP? Go to AANP.org for the list of awesome benefits including 2 professional journals – JNP and JAANP, access to CE, scholarships, etc.

CAPN has TWO (2) memberships to give away through a MEMBERSHIP CONTEST. The CAPN member who is able to recruit the most new members by November 30th will be awarded one of these memberships. The other membership will go to one of the newly recruited members by lottery.

Special note: the Free membership is for a new 1st-time member of AANP (not a student member).

NP Week Committee

A committee is forming to focus on enhancing awareness about advanced practice nurses in our community. Nurse Practitioner Week is typically the 2nd full week of November from Sunday to Saturday; this year the dates are November 13-19 , 2016. Committee Members thus far are: Kathleen Wilson, Sevilla Bronson, Trini Weaver, Eula Weaver, and Simone Devonish. We would like to have a few more who represent TMH, CRMC, Bond Community Health Center, Neighborhood Medical Center, and local health departments. Anyone wishing to join this effort please contact Kathleen Wilson at kpwilsonarnp@gmail.com.

Our first meeting is planned to be held at 5:30 pm prior to our next Dinner Meeting on September 15th, at the dinner location (to be announced).
