The Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP) announced the 2016 Fellows during the AANP National Conference. The conference took place in June, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. Our Tallahassee Area Council of Advanced Practice Nurses vice-President, Kathleen Wilson, PhD, CPNP, FNP-BC, PNP-BC, FAANP, was named to this prestigious group of nurse practitioner leaders at the June conference.

According to the AANP press release here

...The FAANP program was established in 2000 to recognize nurse practitioner leaders who have made outstanding contributions to health care through clinical practice, research, education or policy. Fellows of AANP are visionaries and, as such, hold an annual think tank to strategize about the future of nurse practitioners and health care. The new Fellows will continue to demonstrate leadership and contribute to the mission of AANP.

CAPN Tallahassee President, Julia Pallentino, MSN, JD, FNP-BC, FAANP, and former CAPN Tallahassee President, Debra Danforth M.S., ARNP, FAANP are also Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
