CAPN Tallahassee Memberhip Information

The information below is general information about membership in the Tallahassee Area Council of Advanced Practice Nurses. (The information regarding eligibility for membership is at the end of this posting.

We have recently updated our website's capabilities and we hope you will find it easier and more convenient to become a member or renew your membership.

All NPs, CRNAs, Nurse Midwives, CNSs, and Nurse Faculty are invited to become members and attend the dinner meetings.

If you are not a CAPN member, the dinner meeting charge is $20 ($10 for students in programs leading to the above professional designations).

Please Note: It is expected and required that attendees RSVP to the respective sponsor prior to each meeting to ensure a seat. Also, please try to arrive prior to 6:30 in order to complete registration and seating arrangements. The business meeting/ordering dinner should start promptly at 6:30. Thank you.

Dues for CAPN:
Membership $85/year (Only $75 if you register & pay online)
Students & Retirees $50/year (Only $40 if you register & pay online)
You must be a CAPN Member to be listed in the Directory, To hold office and to vote in the organization. Non-Members of CAPN are welcome to attend the Monthly Meetings & CE Presentations

Eligibility for membership:
A. Full membership: Nurses "certified/licensed" as an ARNP/CNS/CNM/CRNA by the Florida State Board of Nursing and Nurse Educators.
B. Associate membership: Students currently enrolled in entry level graduate / doctoral programs with the primary purpose of this program being to prepare for advanced and or specialized nursing practice. Nurse Practitioners returning to school for an additional nursing specialty or DNP DO NOT qualify for student membership.
C. Associate membership retired: Retired nurses without continued certification or licensure as an ARNP/CNS/CNM/CRNA or Nurse educator.
